Look What I Caught!

Montana Flipper
Contributed by Matt

This tale starts on the bank of the Gallatin River in Gallatin Gateway, Montana. I only had one day to catch that elusive fish that would be the envy of all I told my story to from that day on. The weather was beautiful, the air was warm and the sky was blue. The tranquility was awe inspiring; however, as the day drew on, I had yet to even get a nibble and I was starting to wonder if the fish had all swum south to Wyoming. "What happened next?", you ask. Well, just when I was about to give up hope, I finally got a bite. I jerked my line to set the hook and started to reel. That fish could really put up a fight! When I got him up where I could see him, I could hardly believe my eyes. These guys almost always came in pairs and I just caught one. I searched diligently for another one but to my dismay, I only caught ONE Montana Flipper that day! And can you believe it? It was just my size!
